USC Dr. Leslie Saxon - Recording Heartbeats
This sort of thing catches my attention immediately. What Dr. Saxon hopes to do is create a database of everyone’s health records that will be available through the wireless phone. She wants to create a sort of “facebook of medicine” in which everyone will be able to use simple connective devices with their phones in order to record their heartbeats, and other valuable information into the database.
I’m amazed and excited to see such a project is going on right here on our own campus. This merging of technology and medicine is something I have always been interested in, and can’t wait to see more of it happen.
I really wish I was working with her…
Anyways, check out everyheartbeat.org!
